Currently running (mostly) and leaking (definitely). It's all there but I figure I have at least 2 parts that really matter:

Igniter

Vacuum advance distributor (brand new cap/rotor in an attempt to chase down my issue)

Any other part you might want. Just ask.

I don't know, make me an offer. I see the distributors without the vacuum part going for around $70.

It sounds like you may want to sell the old 5 MGE engine and/or parts from it,considering your impending swap?
The 5M would be a good core for someones cheap swap/rebuild/project.
Gonna keep the tranny?

Your Supra is NOT a part out!
Just the engine and it's pareferials.Peripherals.
Totally rebuild-able.

Correct, this is ENGINE ONLY. Not a part out.

I'm keeping everything after the exhaust manifold. Before that? Make an offer. Any old part.

The 82 AFM is worth about $125 or more. Swaps on the 22RE. The off road guys love them.

The vacuum advance is only good if both diaphragms hold a vacuum, of course. You might mention it's a known good and tested used vacuum advance. I got a box of 4 used distributors for '82. Only one of them had a working advance unit

The vacuum distributor is indeed working.

I cannot, in good conscience, sell a used AFM for $125 because I got a very nicely remanufactured one for $90 shipped. BUT I do have 2 of them that work ;)
At least not on this forum, LOL.

If you get no interest here, you may want to post them AFM's on a 22RE forum for trucks.
Go for best offer. OR $100,shipped to lower 48 States.
Pick one. Get the money!:D

Your 22 RE ain't "blowed up",quite yet.
Yeah tired,but not done yet.
You need your truck to haul parts! Branches,2X4's and other heavy things that are dirty.
You already have hauled some Toyota parts in the bed of your truck.
So many members have trucks and I am very jealous of those people that HAVE a truck!
So,mine is a truck. My DD does that, sometimes. I need wood to build things!
Cement,sheet rock and more wood!

Well, "blowed up" as in the timing chain is somewhere between 1 and 15 teeth off now, and it made a horrendous grinding, clunking, burning sound/smell/oh shit the last time I drove it and limped it into my driveway, where it's been since January.

If you're still doing this...my headlight retractor relay for my '82 is busted and I can't find any on the web. The wires on it were snapped off when I bought the project. If you have it, I need it! View attachment 15134
