The plot thickets, that screen shot is from Toyota in Cochrane PA, not canada. I called the dealer you listed and it is also still obsolete and out of stock. He said a third party runs the website and pretty much everything shows as in stock and able to purchase even if it doesn't exist

Hello, title says it all.

I'm looking for a good condition antenna rod, the metal pipe and nylon cord part number Toyota 86336-22210 shipped to 94541.

I have found plenty of good aftermarket ones but my uncle inlaw is super duper set on a toyota part so the hunt is on.

I really just need the antenna rod and mast. but if I have to get a entire unit to get one I would be willing. But afaik his motor still works. he just bent the mast in a car wash like 90% of us have done.

does anyone have any instructions on how to replace it?

I’ve done it before and I know it’s super easy but the owner doesn’t believe me when I told him how to remove the antenna mast and cord.

the problem is I’m in California and he is in Utah so I can’t just pop over there and do it real quick.

Tip: make sure you check the geared cable length against the new one. If it is shorter than the replacement, you will have to remove the unit completely and open it up to remove the broken piece(s) inside the motor's housing, reassemble the unit and install the new antenna mast.

Thanks for the tip. Sadly I've had both happen to me before. it looks like he is going to take it to Toyota near him and they are going to charge him .5 which sounds much more painless then trying to replace this over the phone with him. If he gets any sort of hiccups like this it will be a big whole thing.

I'm not sure, I found it online searching for mkii celica supra antenna mast rod replacement toyota instructions and found just this page. Having done it before it looked close enough to show much uncle to help him understand what was involved. He was under the impressions that the antenna mast went all the way and connected to the radio so I just needed to show him something that showed the break down between, radio, antenna cable, antenna motor, antenna mast etc

Have him check some of the local car audio shops near him, they can do this in their sleep and most likely for way cheaper than 0.5 hours at the dealership. Besides, the dealership guys have probably not seen an automatic antenna in years!
