Well it's that time ... I've had this car since 2004 but with a 3rd kid on the way I've gotta get 4 doors.

$3000 obo (I'll go lower for my people here on the forum)

1985 Toyota Supra
2.8L Inline 6 - 5MGE
5-speed
252k miles
Owned since 2004 (ask me about the build if you want a story)
You'll also get a box of parts

(original air box, original head-light housings, replacement wiper blades, a few other spare parts)

**Mods**
- Pacesetter headers
- Magnaflow exhaust + muffler 2.25in
- RabidChimp intake + filter
- Crower cams (see pictures for info)
- LJM Front strut bar brace
- TSC Rear strut bar brace
- Wilwood front Big Brake Kit *not installed* ... sitting in my garage (that'll cost extra ... just adding in case someone is looking - I'll make a separate post for those later)

**Maintenance**
- Just did a full tune up (replaced spark plugs and distributer cap + rotor and cleaned the air filter with K&N oil)
- Just Replaced battery (Gold line from AutoZone -5 yr warranty)
- Replaced brakes a few years ago (still plenty left)
- Tires (a few years old ... Decent tread)
- Replaced timing belt in 2017
- I can provide full maintenance for the past few years if needed

**Issues**
- AC doesn't work ... It used to but leaked out a couple years ago ... I replaced the compressor in 2008 so I'm not sure if it's a bad compressor or just leaky o-rings
- Rust on hatch + rear quarter panel :frown:
- Leaks oil (oil pan + valve cover)

Long time no see. Is this the car you restaured with Phil D long ago?

I keep my Supra for the whole 22 years I had my 3 kids at home. (wife had a Caravan!)

That's the one. Took a total loss black/maroon 84 Supra with extremely low miles and transferred literally everything into a straight but Texas toast sunbleached 85 Blue/Blue Supra with a blown engine and high miles, then had it painted black. That guy's body work and paint sure didn't hold up tho. Seeing the pictures today, man, that's hard to believe. Now that I see the type of damage, I remember Keith had the guy weld up the antenna hole and installed an early windshield with the antenna built in. So the only way that would have happened was the body man didn't know what he was doing. Should have had Cuco to paint it, but he had a six month waiting list so Keith found someone else. This was not an inside-out rusty car when it left Texas, rather just a victim of faulty body work. It sure looked good when it was fresh tho.

Yep! It sure is ... it's been a great car. Daily driven since 2005.

I know! The paint started to bubble up years later and I was pretty upset. There was no body damage or anything that I could see that would have caused it. :frown: My guess was the sunroof drain or some way for water to get inside that was not obvious.
Phil, you have no idea how many times I've told the story of a hospitable/knowledgeable guy in Fort Worth who let me use his garage for 8 months to rebuild that car (not to mention all the work you did on it when I wasn't there). My two girls call it my race car because it's so loud. If I had space to store it or a large garage to keep it and do body work, I would since I'm pretty attached to it, but I just don't have room for it. I got a 4-door automatic car as a replacement - had to keep the I-6 heritage though ... 2007 BMW e90 335i with the N54 - :naughty:

dammit, you just had to put this up for sale right now. My daughter just moved to Camden, TN and Im about to head that direction once things get sold here. Time for a change and get away from family. Looking at buying or renting a home somewhere around your area but don't want to be in the city either. Any suggestions.

I'm in Franklin (just south of Nashville) - the housing market here is crazy bc everyone is moving here (more like has been moving here for the past 10 years) ... I would look in Spring Hill or Thompson Station if you want to be south and out of the city or Gallatin or Hendersonville if you go north

Its a bit sad to know you don't have a Supra anymore but yeah, I understand. You did pretty good tho holding onto it for what, 14-15 years. I tried to hold onto the car I drove through college, but when the transmission broke I was living in an apartment, deep in debt, couldn't afford to pay someone to fix it, apartment wouldn't allow repairs and that $25 a month I was paying for an extra covered parking space I figured ought to go toward getting out of debt quicker. Wish I could be like Jay Leno and keep every car I ever bought, but if you're not rich enough to keep them all up, then you're a hoarder.

When those little girls are out on their own, then you can buy one to replace it.
