The early to mid-80's "A60" Celica Supra MKII had that long, sloping hood with the hideaway pop-up headlights & an angular roof and window line typical of the era that gave it an overall wedge shape we all came to know in the younger years! Powered by a dual overhead cam 2.8L Inline 6 and W-58 5-speed manual transmission. The original independent front and rear suspension was actually all tuned by Lotus, giving it even more credibility in the car world. The success of the redesigned Supra in the U.S. was noted even further by it being awarded Motor Trends "1982 Import Car of the Year", as well as it being named to Car & Drivers " Top 10" list. This very rare example is an all original car and is unmolested, with the exception of a Sony aftermarket AM/FM/CD player, and is equipped with power window, locks, sunroof, and a manual lumbar "pump", among other standard features. It has the P-Type performance package from the factory. I bought the car from the original owner 9 years ago. It had 55,000 miles at the time. The original owner never let it see rain, and it has only seen rain 5 times since I've owned it. The car has been meticulously maintained, and is in excellent condition. It has been garage kept since the day it was purchased. This 1985 time capsule is only showing 66,879 actual CarFax verified miles, so if this is a reminder of your younger years, or if you are just looking for an original Japanese classic, this Supra is certainly worthy of consideration. The 60K maintenance has been done. I removed the cover to take pictures of the undercarriage. I am listing it for sale on eBay soon.
