I just finally got it....all this time I was mad and concerned about a little bit of smoke coming out of my exhaust . Well I was watching a 2fast 2 furious commerical and realized that I just need a little more hp or maybe some NOS and my little puffs of smoke will turn into 2 foot flames just like those cars!! My smoke wasnt a valve seal problem or a ring problem just a lack of power!! Gee i'm dumb :D

you know, back in the old days, people with muscle cars would rig up propane tanks that jetted into their exhaust so they'd get flames like that.

in fact, i'm pretty sure that's what they did for the movie - no one will believe that the cars would make that much flame... the cars wouldn't run if they did.

check out gotflames.net

flame throwing is cheap to add... but don't get caught! hehe

I was going to get a kit for my Jimmy once the engine goes in... and if I do that, Ill just HAVE to do the supra... you know, for symetry.

hehe, I love having buttons that do neat stuff in my car. flames would be way up there with electronic boost control

but for god sakes! I don't care how ricy your ricer is, It wont throw flames from the combustion chamber, out the exaust ports, through the manifold and a turbo, and out the other end of the car. 8)

my buddy jimmy's got a '41 chevy pickup with a '61 235 I6 and dual exhaust, he drilled the ends of the exhaust out and tapped them for spark plugs. he has a switch wired to shut of the coil and turn on the plugs in the exhaust, boom! 4 foot flames. very cool, impresses all the ladies around here.

Brad Mayo over on Supraforums.com makes a kit thats pretty nice to do it. Works great for turbo's, as they tend to run rich and have lots of unburnt fuel in the exhaust. My Dad had an old Ford Coupe that he turned into a hot rod, and it shot flames... Thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my entire life.. of course, that was at the ripe old age of 9..

I used to shoot flames out my '80 toyota longbed all the time! Carbureted vehicles are easy! Just turn the key off while in gear at around 40-60mph, floor the vehicle for about 2 or 3 seconds, and turn the key back on. BOOM!!!
Did that for several months till I blew the damned muffler up! The thing was oval when I got it, but after I was done, it was ROUND!!!!!!!
Ahhh, the good ol' days...

I dont know... I might challenge you guys for the "largest junker truck" award. I have an (wow, honestly dont know the year... wierd) 4-runner, early 80's that is in kinda rough shape. There is honestly more rust than paint, has about a thousand exhaust leaks, and the fool who owned it before me put on some huge carb without doing any mods atall. The bumper was knocked off, so I attached a 4" steel pipe filled with concrete across the front (tree pusher). Anyhow, you can fly down the road in 4th at rpms, click the key off, wait about 5-6 seconds, then click it back on, and it will blow these huge flames out of the back and out of either side under the driver and passenger doors. I'll have to get some pictures of that beast one of these days...
