$27,000 for a MKII

I know the MkII's are expensive in mint condition. But 27K for one is unreal to me  . For 27K I could take a basket case and make it better than this car. Don't get me wrong. This car looks really good. But I can just dream of all the things I could do. With a older MKII and $27,000. This car is on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2439526077&category=6447

" The very front of the car on the spoiler under the front license plate has minor nicks from normal driving. There are also 2 very small 1/8 inch nicks on the hood. They are very small and not noticeable unless you comb the hood with your eyes."

this doth not a 27000 dollar car make...

this guy seriously needs better pics... i blew em up and cleaned em up with a couple filters, and the car still looks like shit, but its got better pics than the 10k supra that i picked apart last time.

still, i second dynamic... my car plus 27000 would make one hell of a machine :)
Can someone Please....Please tell me which Sugar Daddy Sold This Guy his drugs. I mean commmmon...$27,000 for a f'n MK2. Don't get me wrong...I love my car more than life itself, but i'll be damned if I think a stock mk2 with dingy here and a dingy there is worth even $17,000...or $7,000 for that matter. I wonder wtf they are thinking when they put these ads up, do they seriously think someones gonna buy the car...when will they ever learn...actually by the time these people do learn a mk2 will be worth $27,000.
....or maybe hes the only guy in the world who realizes its true value??

or maybe not.
I take it as my obligation to email each and every one of these overpricers.

What I can't figure is why people do this when it costs $40 plus pictures to list a car on ebay, $80 if they actually get a bid regardless if it actually sells. I don't know about the rest of you but I can't afford to waste money posting ads that I know aren't going to sell. Ebay needs to implement a "dope slap" fee policy. Lit bidders bid any amount regardless and automatically pull the ad after 5 bids and charge them $40 per bid if none go over the starting bid amount. That'd cost people up to $200 to waste ebay's bandwidth and pretty soon people wouldn't be doing it anymore.

with 72,000 miles on it?
Looks nice, but not that nice.

Crack is getting expensive these days, I guess.
sure looks clean... but he's a damn dreamer.

i have a hard time seeing a mkII for over 10-12k... and that's providing it's got a 2jz under the hood.
maybe he messed up and added 1 too many zeros
This guy needs slapped, I would never pay that much, its an auto, no leather.....4 wheel power vented disc brakes....lol(power???)

this guy really knows how to bull shit his ads......quite funny.
Unbelievable. What are these people thinking? It was nice of them to open the bidding at a measly $17k. Hell I may just buy it for $27k since I'm afraid the bidding will hit over $30k and I don't want to miss out.

Even if this car had zero miles it would not be worth $27k.

Reality will set in. Maybe he does not really want to sell it after all.

Hmmmm....will this guy accept an even up trade for that original mid 60's Corvette that I have lying around? LOL (I wish).

this guys dad is probably sick and told him to sell the car for medical payments, and the guy just wants to keep it and drive the shit outa it while dad cant find out ;)

You got any pics of this mint Siler Bullet? Love to check it out.
I feel the need to email this guy. He sounds ok, and the car sounds great (its the exact twin of my 86, but with a sunroof, similar condition and half the milage.) but he really really really has absolutly no idea what his car is worth.
emailed him, let him know his price was off by abooooooout, oh 20,000 us.
Let's see.

The basics
Find a solid MK2 that needs some restoration. $2500?
Full repaint (very professional) $3000?
Full trim replacement $500?
New tires. $400
Parts shop for misc replacement interior items (no price, just time)
Engine/tranny refresh. $1000?
$7000? (a high price)

Basic Mods
Full suspension refresh. $450?
Stock brake system upgrade. $200-300?

Say, for giggles, we are at $8000.

That leaves $9K, reserve not met, to play with.

Wow, I could have two for that reserve not met price!

Actually closer to $4000 discounted for everything. Thats about what I've spent for all the exterior trim on the car. Those $60 dollar headlight squirters really add up  Although that guy is smoking some serious weed.
