Wes,

1st of all - great write-ups - I may try some of them myself.

However, I had to hunt to find them. The links on this page need to be updated for your new website.

Hi Wes, can you comment on how the cressida brakes are compared to the supra oe brembos?
Less fade and more stopping power. I used brembo rotors for both installs.

Fixed the links! Thanks for letting me know, I didn't think about it after the website redesign.

The rear Whiteline gets much stiffer than the ADDCO the front Whiteline bar will not get as stiff as the ADDCO. I am going to have to increase my front spring rate or soften up the rear bar to make the car more neutral. I am going to be ordering some 450lb springs this week to see if that helps but my car is slower now with the Whitelines than it was with the ADDCO's. I do not want to reduce the stiffness on the rear bar if I don't have to because my rear spring rate is so low. I am using the bars as a band aid basically, now that the car is not daily driven I can tune more with the spring rates and use less swaybar which is the preferred method on a race car.

ok, so theoreticly the best combo would be the front addco and rear whiteline? or just go stiffer springs and then lower the stiffness of the whitelines? the second is what im getting from your reply. btw, i got 350lb and 450lb springs at my house. but they are 8in long. not sure what length youd need. you can borrow them to test out to see what you need if you want. beats buying springs just to find out you cant use them.

Front ADDCO and rear Whiteline would be a very good setup I think. I had my car like that for a few weeks, wish I would have raced it that way to really find out, it was pretty good on the street. I think 8" will be too long since I am still on the stock perches and I don't have much more downward travel in my adjusters. Eventually I may get new sleeves and weld on new perches but I don't think I would get much more than 1" more before tire interference becomes a problem. The 450# 7" springs are $36 each from summit so its not a huge deal and I am pretty sure they will do the trick.

well, you know how stiff the front of my 84 was when you pushed on it. i have 450lb springs in it. it is STIFF. lol. you feel the bumps for sure but overall the handling is pretty good with all the other stuff ive done.

Just paid $30 for Cressida brake pieces(Calipers/Hubs/Rotors) from local pull-a-part. Big Brakes on a budget, gotta love it. Thank you, Wes, and John B. too!

Brakes are broken in now. Just aquired stainless line kit, this really complements this brake package. WOW! I need better tires. The difference in feel is night and day, I can modulate any degree of braking until the tires break free. Highly Recommended Update!

Wes, great write ups. Very useful and straight forward. I had a question about the Cressida Brake upgrade. Would they be good enough to stop a car with 400whp? The reason being, I would like to go 1jz someday, but I don't want to go any bigger than 15" wheels, so that leaves out the BBK. If anyone has experience with the Cressida brakes on a higher hp car, please share.

Well they would be better than stock but still could be pretty scary if you are not careful. It wouldn't be my choice, but if you must have 15" wheels then you don't have any other options.
