I'm very pleased with my 6M-GTE with stock internals (for now). But I'm planning on building a shortblock for more horsepower/torque that can withstand higher boost levels. What are the pros and cons between the 5M and 6M? I'm looking at 8.5:1 compression, by the way.

Actually, earlier 5M's had lower compression which is better for going turbo. :wink:

Supposedly there's another Mkii in Montgomery that's converted, but I can't seem to find him.

Anyway, I've got a 5M-GE with a bad head gasket, I'll probably just build it. Therefore no downtime with the 6M-GTE setup.

We should meet at Steele one weekend; I'm going tonight to run with some of the CARS-CE and ARS guys.
