re:

Toysport has a 2.9 liter kit and a 3.1 liter kit for our 5M-GEs. Hope you guys have deep wallets, cause the price on these kits will make you bust your left nut. Bang for the buck, go turbo (after several years learning the hard way, this is the way I will be going for my MKII).

the kuwahara kit is a collectors item... if you had a super low milage supra that was going to be garaged, and shown, then id say go for it... for a driver, in all practicality, id say 6m or 7mgte or 1uzfe :)

power

ok.. i takled with toysport.... no more kuwahara kits left...they do not make em any more... they recomended going with a 6m or a 7m for power but if i was set on staying with my 5m... they have forged pistons and they also recommended having them reprogram my ecu to fit the fuel curve of the new set up... they offer the service but $950.00US wow...

i was under the impression that our ecu was not reprogrammable...iirc many people on here have tried, and sent ecus to many places, and none have been able to do it.

im not sure what magic toysport has, but ive heard that they promise many things they cant deliver (illumina shocks anyone?)

for that kind of money, you can start seriously looking at going turbo, and doing it right. :)

looks like its time to create our own kuwahara engines from forged pistons and what not
