So, With the recent find of a 7mge motor and turbo equip for $100:thumbsup:

ive decided that the best thing to do with my 6mge is put it in my 82 Tercel:eek4dance

Not 4x4) .
Not planning on doing this over night, and I suspect for me to get both cars up and running and going it will take me atleast 8 - 9 months doing it by myself and on a "near free" budget. Lucky me, I know a machinist. Step one, Get the 7m-gte up and going and rebuilt. Sink that baby in, THEN, worry about the Tercel.
I already know I gotta move the firewall back, and ill probably be sitting right behind the b pillar, And blah blah blah. HAHA. I havnt seen this done before. Thinking it should be something comparable to rocketscience when its finished.
Ive looked around and have seen no Tercel swaps done. Ill keep this thread alive. Im gonna pick up my motor in a couple days and then ill start the Tear down. :zzzzz: Pics will be included every step of The way. Any help that anyone wants to contribute would be greatly appreciated

LOL... MAYBE not..... its a 4 door Sedan.... but your probably right

this reminds me of the 2jz-gte CAMRY that rolls around battle creek he waxed on me when i had my halftrack.

Trade up the Trecel for the 4x4 version and do a swap on that one. I am guessing even more impossible, but way cooler. . . .

With a 6mge yeah pretty much impossible. Sure the 6mge will bolt up to the tranny thats in the car, BUT, where is the front of the motor gonna sit? a foot infront of the car? I guess thats one way to keep it cool. LOL.
Im looking at all diff types of things. Id prefer to not need a nose cone(to hide the motor) for my Tercel. Im already gonna feel like the first astronauts going into space riding at the front of a rocket without one. Im planning on going Rear wheel anyways.

ha ha everyone thinks that. it is basically a celica with a mr2 turbo motor and a camry transmission add this all up and you get = baller :google: it is still fwd not awd like a alltrack hence the name halftrack fast as hell:zzzzz:

Have any pictures of this tercel? I plan on making mine rwd, since it is already longitudinally setup, But I dont know what engine im going with... probably a turbo v6 from a 300zx.

Is yours the AL10?

Just thought it was weird to see this thread, I came on here to look at celica supras because Ive always wanted one just want to learn more about them, and I saw this and its almost the same thing I want to do. Mine is a 2 door liftback.

Yes I have pictures of the tercel. Ill take some in a bit. Its got a new JDM 1.5 3ac in it. Runs perfect and is clean as a whistle. Everything new under the hood and even has a/c working. I almost dont wanna hack the car up. Depends on if I could find another one cheap. I got this car for a steal. The motor still has a sticker on the oil pan.

Its the 4 door sedan. 82.
Ill take some pics of it in a bit.

I wouldnt even try the 300zx motor. Im pretty positive its way too wide. I used to have an 88 turbo. That car was nothing but a PITA. lol.

Eh they are tiny little engines, ive been messing with them for about 4 years now... ive done 3 or 4 turbo swaps, swaped out engines, you name it ive done it. Ill have to measure the engine bay on the tercel. Mine doesnt run, has acorns in the carb right now...

I have an 84 HB that I did a RWD conversion on

I used an first gen RX7 rear. They come with LSD 4.10's and are the same track as the tercel. I used a 20v 4age not a 'M' series engine but the principles are still the same!

The car was great until it burned to the ground during a wild grass fire sitting in my parents back 40.
