I have been reading the posts from others, and i think i have all the info i need regarding the conversion which i plan on doing soon.
However i am after some pics of detailed engine bays with the 7mgte in.

And while im on the topic has anyone got any tips and good points to know about going about this?

cheers

Hey Matt,
I'm doing the same thing, and being very visual I want lots of pics too !!
Just try google etc. enter "7MGTE" and you wouldnt believe the stuff that comes up.
I'm sure a few guys on this site will help us out though :hail:

Those pics are on a "need to know-need to see" basis :p

Actually,I'd have to look to see if I have any pics on my hard drive at home.

I'll post pics as soon as I have a few minutes to actually go out and take them, then sit down at my 'puter and format them. With kids, the holidays and general craziness at work, I haven't had much time to mess with the cars (and won't until after Xmas, probably)!!

Before you start on your 7m swap do this:

- Gunk the 5m before u pull it

- After the 5m is out roll the car out side and wash the engine bay using Gunk, soap, brissle brushes and wash mits. You may have to hit it a few times

- Clean the radiator

- Repaint the 7mgte block/oil pan when it's apart. Polish the CT26, repaint the exhaust manifold and CT26 hot side. Polish as much Aluminum as you can. Clean all the bolts, nuts and fasteners. Armor-All all the black hoses, covers and lines.

That's a basic rundown but you get the idea. :)
