I just got this car a few months ago. It had been sitting for about 5 years or so with a half tank of gas in it. It originally only needed a freeze plug replaced under the upper intake manifold🤦‍♂️. I cleared out all of the fuel lines, emptied & cleaned the gas tank, and replaced the freeze plug. I was then able to drive it through the neighborhood and the wash from my friends house to my house. It was still running funky and the timing needed adjusting. I took the upper intake manifold off, disconnected a bunch of vacuum lines, and took off the fuel delivery pipe & injectors. I cleaned everything as thoroughly as I could and started to put everything back on the block. With the help of some repair manual pdf files and this thread:
vacuum lines for 5mge I have the majority of the vacuum/egr lines connected.

However, there are a couple parts I can't find--and they weren't there before I took everything apart-- and a couple things on my intake manifold that look different when comparing with the 82 specific vacuum line diagrams. I dont seem to have the EGR vacuum modulator or the vtv & air filter for the dashpot/throttle body.

SO, I am wondering if there is any alternative location I might find the egr vacuum mod.? Is there another way the lines can be connected correctly?
The lines weren't even connected correctly when I got the car so my pictures havent been much help.. Also my intake manifold has two vacuum ports on the side of it towards the front of the car, and another brass piece with two vacuum ports and a spring with a plastic screw holding it in at the top toward the back of the engine. I dont see these parts in any of the diagrams and have no clue what they do or what they connect to? I'm pretty certain I have all the lines toward the front of the engine connected correctly, but I really need some guidance with the rest! I have searched all over and asked everyone I know--still nothing. I will get some better pictures later today and upload them to show what i am talking about. If someone is able to help me it's got to be one of you supra veterans! Lol. Thank you in advance for any suggestions/ideas/solutions. I want to get this baby running already!!

This is where the diagrams show the egr vacuum modulator, but obviously there isn't one here in my car. Not sure if it is hidden somewhere else or if it's just been missing?

And these are the two parts on my intake manifold I described earlier. They both have 2 vacuum ports, some of the diagrams show the spot I circled in yellow--but only with one vacuum port--never 2, and sometimes none there at all. However I'm pretty sure I have the lines hooked up correctly on this side, finally.
The part I circled in white I havent noticed in any diagrams. This is the side I haven't been able to finish connecting (near the egr; and where egr vac modulator should be?).

According to the '82 diagram, your EGR modulator is missing.
The component circled in white is an idle speed setting- not shown in the diagram.
It may be an idle-up for the A/C.
These can be a real head-scratcher. So many vacuum lines!
Original coloring book thread:
Does NOT show the idle up thing on top of the manifold. Is it for cruise control?

Okay so I am missing the egr Vacuum modulator for sure then, most likely.. and the vtv & air filter that connects to the dashpot diaphragm isn't there either.. I have no idea what the idle up thing is for. it was connected on both ports to a vacuum switch before i took everything off I'm pretty sure. But not everything was connected right anyway. the intake manifold doesnt match up on every bolt hole actually, but I have no clue what engine it originally came from..

You may have a NON- Usa '82 or even an '83 manifold on your '82!
'82's had the vacuum advance distributor ONLY.

I looked around a LOT about the idle-up thing on top. Cannot find that information. It's an air bleed that introduces a vacuum leak to adjust idle speed. Are you in an emission control State? An '82 should be exempt.
You do NOT want any unintentional vacuum leaks.

Nope no EGR parts in the garage...you can check part #s at toyodiy.com to see if there are crossover to later MAs...

Oh okay, do you have an egr vacuum modulator or the vtv & air filter for the dashpot? I think those parts are the same or at least similar enough for '82 and '84..
