so, i tried installing my new 82 afm onto my 81 supra. its not the greatest install but i would like to know what you guys have done to get this thing to fit in. i do have the stock 82 airbox. and mounts but nothing lines up. i will get pictures up tomorrow to show you my poor retro fitting.

I was looking at doing the same thing on my customer's '79, but his AFM has 7 pins. I did get the intake pipe built Friday night, and will get a quote and copies made in a week or so.

Did you bolt the maf in? How did you do it? Just cause it does have a different placement for an intake.

I had to space the stock air box inboard, about .5" to clear piping to the shock tower. The outlet on the Mk1 AFM is really close to the shock tower. Weird stuff.

no picture by chance hey? did you have more then 1 bolt holding the maf in?

what is the purpose of using the 82 VAM? as opposed to sticking with the earlier VAM?
