Easiest 2JZGE swap into a MK2 IMO is to get an early GS300. You get the correct front sump pan and all the interface wiring ends up near the ECU like the Mk2. The SC300 version is closer to Mk3/4 fitment, but with enough parts swaps anything is possible. The VVTI gets you a little better gas mileage and more area under the curve. The downside is most of those cars had ignition interlocks, OBD2, and if you're turboing them the weaker rods is problematic.
