does any one know if the 130mph dash will go into my 1982 supra, i have the 85mph dash right now and it would be nice to know how fast im going on the highway. or what does it take to put in the digital dash in :?: - if i could ever find one at the bone yard.

Yes, the newer dash will go in.

Digital Dash conversion: Go to the top of this page & use the search button. This has been discussed previously. Consensus is that it's a wiring PITA.

I've done the analog gauge swap into my 82...fairly easy. If you cant find a nice supra gauge the celi will work also but you will need to swap the tach modules. Also fairly easy just lots of screws.

im right in the middle of swapping in a celica 130mph speedo right now, and its really easy

all you need is a #2 phillips screwdriver and a box that can fit the instrument cluster inside... as you remove each screw, you push it through the top of the box, in its approximate position, just like a pin cushion.
in fact, i call it the screwcushion, and yes, its patented

im also going to get the panel scanned, and hopefully get the image colors reversed, so i can see how white faced gauges look.

theoretically, it should be as simple as scanning it, PSP7ing it, and printing, but i imagine something will crop up.

I think the guys that were in the first group buy got jipped. Im not sure but I think they paid something like $130 USD for them and now they are like $79 (I think dont quote me on that) :idea:

They're on ebay every now and then for around 30 to 40 bucks. I thnk there is a set on there now.

You'll want also to look at the 'Sticky' thread on this forum about the 82-83 Charge light mod. Has to do with the way that the Charge lamp is wired in the 82-83 (85 mph) vs 84-86 (130mph) clusters. If you don't follow the suggestions, you may end up with an irritating Charge lamp staying on.

I havent had this problem with my celi cluster. And when the alternator died the lamp lit up properly.

well after posting this and taking a trip to the bone yard i realized that here in spokane its kinda hard to find a 130mph cluster. does anyone have one that they would sell me for cheap? :?: :wink: i would really like to find a digital dash. does anyone know if its worth puting one in?

Analog 130mph cluster, correct???? Several here in the Puget Sound area.... May have to check.
