The problem that i am having is that when the car is ideling in the morning i get nothing but cold air but once i get going say over 20 mph the heating system starts working like its suposed to. also if i'm stopped for awhile it will blow cold air.

Where is the needle pointing at on your temp gauge? If it's staying below 1/3 on the temp guage after driving for 30 minutes, I would suspect the thermostat. A thermostat that is stuck part way open will cause the condition you are describing. If you do decide to change the thermostat yourself, make sure you bleed all the air out of the cooling system after you put it together and fill the cooling system.

Oh boy, how to describe this without offending people who can't handle light hearted humor..........

It depicts a rear view mirror with a chain containing a crusifix, with a "dislodged" J.C. holding on for dear life, cuz the Supra is soooooooo fast. Howz that? 8)

Seriously, if anyone is bothered by it, I will gladly change it.

It don't bother me none! To each their own is what I say...
Anyway, as for the temp problem, I'd also think its the thermostat. Sounds like it may be sticking a bit and finally pops open once you get moving. I'd also suggest watching your temp gauge and see if its hitting about 3/4 ways up then all of a sudden dropping down to below or at the halfway mark when you notice the heat starts.
Could also be an air pocket in the system too. Do you hear gurgling in the vehicle when you take off in the morning with the heat on max?

I have heard the gurgling sound before then i fixed the leak in one of the hoses and it went away as for the temp gage it goes up to about half way or a tad bit less and stays there no matter what the temp of the outside air is. the only time it moved quickly is when i almost ran out of water. could i have a problem with the actuators that are on the firewall i checked the connections and the vacuum line and they seem to be fine.
