No idea if this has already been clarified, but I figured I'd post this anyways.

So I know people always have problems with sourcing the correct outer tie rods and I have come to a conclusion why this is and a viable option to fix this issue. I have known for a while people have had to cut their brand new tie rods (Moog) because they are too long, that is because most of these stupid parts manufactures confuse 82-85 Celica and 82-86.5 Celica Supra to be the same thing and they are not. The reason for the long tie rods is because most definitely, you are receiving outer tie rods for a power steering Celica rack, not a Supra, they do not share the same Toyota part number. About 80% of the parts manufactures I have seen supply you with a Celica outer. So if you see tie rods ends that say they fit both vehicles, do not buy them! They don't fit both! The Supra tie rod is about 3/4 of an inch shorter than the Celica one. But fun fact I discovered, if you see that they offer outer tie rod ends for a manual steering Celica of the same year, they are the same part, they share the same Toyota part number as the Supra's tie rod ends and you can use those for a correct fit.

TLDR: If you see tie rod ends that say they fit both 82-85 Celica and 82-86.5 Celica Supra, stray away as they are not the same. They do however share the same inner tie rod.
82-85 manual rack Celica outer tie rod ends are the same as Celica Supra outer tie rod ends.

Toyota Part Numbers:
45460-29225 - Outer tie rod assy, power, Supra
45460-29225 - Outer tie rod assy, manual, Celica
45460-19155 - Outer tie rod assy, power, Celica

Hope this helps clear up a lot of the confusion!

Just to update this, I first bought the bought the delphi end links for power steering first. They were way too long, I read this thread then bought the mevotech manual end links, they are shorter but still too long... I'm tired of this nonsense so I just spent way more on the toyota ones which I guess they still make. They better fit.
