hmm i dunno, do any of you flip off other supras? i was driving home today and theres this pretty nice supra with two tone purple silver paint and its pretty fixed up (well maintained and nice rims and pipes) well anyways it looked like this 16 year old kid was driving it and i gave him a thumbs up and this dude flips me. grr... on a better note, my car passed smog! it did very well except for the HC's (last time i failed from nox lol) but its cuz it still has the original spark plugs and wires and prolly fuel filter from factory. the owners before me musta hated her :'( with those changed my HC's should drop like a rock, my NOx sure as hell did with my new cat

Actually, I remember giving a thumbs up to a mk2 passerby. It was an older guy-30-40's. Anyways, I passed him by giving a thumbs up as he noticed me coming by with the loud exhuast. He just smiled as I passed by. sounds like somethings wrong with that driver that flicked you off. Good to hear you passed smog.

Cultural thing

It might be a culktural thing. I know thatere's some place in the world that takes a thumbs up as "sit on it". And the OK (thumb and finger together other fingers out) is taken in Germany as "arsehole". Except they do it with the fingers in - but it's pretty similar.

Either that or he's an idiot that doesn't recognize other Supras because he yearns to be driving the big bad Ford Focus his mommie just bought...

On a more serious note, I wave, and try to talk to, as many Supra owners as I run across. The only thing I haven't done is bang on someone's front door when there's a Supra parked in their driveway. But it's been really close a couple of times!

Bird or not, you guys are lucky. I almost never pass any other Supras, especially when I'm driving one of mine. Around Fort Worth, they are as rare as rocking horse shit. I can count on my fingers the number of mk2 I've seen in town this whole year, and one had out-of-state plates!

wow, what a dumb kid. its probably some snobby kid that was pissed his parents got him a supra instead of an integra.

i'm like jefe_not. i try to talk to as many supra owners as i can. even though most give me weird looks (since i'm only 16). just today i followed. well, not really. it was just coincidental. a white 84 ptype to wendy's. we both got out and he's like "nice car. i bet its slow" (sarcasm.) and i'm like, yeah its got a 3.0.

we just chatted it up waiting in wendy's line. it was nice talking to a supra owner my age.

Yea i had a similar experience today. I noticed a brown supra with the Celica XX decal across his Hatch (DOHC 2.8GT on left...Celica XX on right), in the parking lot near UCRiverside. I thought "haven't seen that before in person". :?
Like three hours later I return and he's barely leaving. So he's perpindicular to my car about 10 ft. and he's makin a left (I'm to his left) so I know he saw me. I was planning to give him a thumbs up or something and he just looks at me and turns his head to continue talking on his cell, with the most aragant, asshole face ever! Like he's driving a Ferrari and I'm in a pinto type face..LOL  .

yeah, i understand what you are trying to say man. Sometimes people just get scared and do stupid things. I remember this one time, a few of my friends were rollin in his Bmw and we saw a Vanquish (very rare in the upper parts of NORCAL) and my friends friend yells out, you have a real expensive car, the guy in the vanquish just kind looks and jets off like we were going to rob his ass, thats if we could catch it??

point is, dont bring stupid people.

but yeah, maybe he just thought that you gave him the FINGER.
