Sweet car. Some people have the money that a $100,000+ car is peanuts and can be driven everyday, even in the winter.

Looks like this guys spent his money on his car, not his house. I just thinks that's crazy, but each to their own.

If you click through the link provided with the video, you will find out that the gentleman in questions (Ezra Dyer) is a contributor for the New York Times, and was testing the car for a story. Also, the car was equipped with snow tires.

The roads weren't bad at all, all nicely plowed. I'm jealous, the roads where I live have been an absolute mess for about a month now.

I'd bet that the R8 would make a GREAT winter "beater"!

I've never really paid much attention to Audi in the past; however, they have recently become my favorite brand of car with the R8 being my favorite of them all... haha. It all started when I was idling between some traffic two years ago when I had an r6 (Yamaha), the tail lights caught my attention up ahead and I pulled up next to it. My handle bars were above the roof-line, and I could FEEL the v8 churning next me at idle! Ever since then I've taken an extreme liking to Audi and their new line up of cars. I think they're brilliant aesthetically, and mechanically.

Ezra got his automotive start as a gopher for Automobile Magazine.

He s a great writer.

Those press cars see far worse than that.

Eff, that motor's pretty.

I'd love to land a gig like that... I have an aquaintence who writes for the driving section for the main paper in a neighbouring city. I just need to get a toe in the door in my town!
