for those wondering about using the 88-89 mr2 rear shocks for the front of the mkii, you would need a 63.5mm spacer from techno toy tuning in order for them to fit properly or shorten the strut tube by 2.5in. i measured one of the tokico illuminas i have for the rear of the mr2 next to a stock mkii front strut and the part that fits in the strut case is exactly 2.5in shorter. also, heres a link to the website to get the spacers.
