Infinity Speakers

Hey man,

I just put in the infinity reference series 3002cf two way speakers in the front stock position. They are great little speakers and they really don't distort at all. But then again, they came with little capacitors in the box; I am surprised that you don't have them (you may want to check the box that you bought them in). Anyhow, most distortion is cause by the deck. What I did, is adjust the frequencies going to the front and limited it to the higher frequencies. Your deck may be able to do the same thing, then you may not have to waste money on capacitors or crossovers. That may be something that you should look in to before you decide to purchase crossovers. You would be surprised how many decks have that option; just read your deck user manual. Anyhow, if that fails, you can get the little capacitors that you just wire up to one of the speaker terminals in series. That should solve your problem; and I suspect that they are not very expensive.

For my car, I put infinities in the rear positions as well, the 4 x 6's fit perfectly in the stock bracket, all I had to do was bolt them in. Sounds great...anyhow, hope that helps you out man...

yeah, I suppose you are right. They are bass blockers. The fellow at Future shop told me that they essentially eliminate all low frequencies going to the speakers as a protection device. So anyways, I suspect that they should be included with the speakers. They work great for me, so I think that they should be used with the speakers if they are inlcuded in the box.
