Yep it was great. Cool to meet you all. I was finally able to put a face to CarFreek, CRF_Rider (Mark was it?), Supra_Toy(Will), Greg W, Bill P (can't remember his handle), Kal and it was good to see Chris E, Shawn (junkie), & Don C again. I was so disappointed when I went to the last PacNW meet as mine was the one and only mk2 there. Well this weekend we had 7 mk2s there (and Chris's mk1), 4 of them being Burgandy ext cars, 3 of them being turboed (2 7ms 1 5mgte). Very cool, glad I went and sad I wasen't able to bring my 85. Ophirs 13,000 mile Burgandy 85 was incredible, a true showroom condition mk2 (except for the 7m of course), just crazy!

I think the best was the bbq at Vinnies though, almost 30 supras took over his little neighberhood, it was awesome! Then on Saturday night the last of use went out to hassel the ricers and went cruising. It was cool to be out with some crazy high hp turbo supras zipping around town, and neat to see some built mk2s right there in the thick of it. :D Great time, I will definatly be back next year!

Too bad I wasn't able to stay very long  Next year I should be participating and so I'll be there much longer. Very nice to see all the cars I only read about here, in person. Mark's 85 5m-gte makes me consider turboing one of my 5m's. Awesome piece of work 8) . Also good to see Don C's car again and Orphir's largish turbo and equally large V-1 :)

One of the coolest things abotu Baxter's was, once we paid and walked down to the event, the only hondas I saw were two NSX's....but I thought honda's were racing cars???

LOL!!!!!

And don't forget Kale!!! You also got to experience the 5ME SLUG POWER!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! :D

Was great to finally meet Will & Mark. And to be able to see Seamus & Mike again (damit, did I get to meet Nick???? Someone remind my brain!!!!!). And it's been a few months since I've talked to Don & Shawn, so it was great to see them as well...

Sunday was lots of fun. Not quite as hot & sunny at times, but the weather was much better. Due to some minor infractions during the Saturday parade lap, myself & the Silver Slug got nominated to LEAD the Sunday parade lap.... Lot's o fun, despite the fact that I could not go as fast as I would like to have (I REALLY wished that Toyota had gotten the suspension right THE FIRST TIME on the MKI.... Oh well...).

Gee Mike, you sure that was Vic yelling @ you & not one of his daughters??? (who also races)... :D :D

Pictures were dropped off & Costco, should be ready on Weds.

Doh..... Yep, that's kind of big....

Hrmmm.... Was wondering who was behind me on Sunday... I knew Bill was behind me..... So that means it was Don, then Will.... Then it was Graeme (pronounced Graham) and his son (???? forgot his name), then Duane & Seamus..... Not sure about the last MKIII's, before one of the Pace Car's.

Damn RX7's decided to slow down before Turn 10...... The rubber bands in the 5ME were starting to unwind & the hamsters were running out of gas... Am pretty sure that Sandy had a nice little chat w/ the RX7 guys about slowing down like that.

I know I should have asked more questions before we went out-Like, Spacing/Speed/Line-I overran car in front of me on back straight when pace car pulled over-Also hopped a curb trying to straigten out chicane-"Bad Bad Bad Bad Supra" Mike

Nope! I wasn't there very long unfortunately. My girl and I were pretty tired after a long Friday and part of Saturday and so only made a couple laps of the event spending A LOT of time in the PacNW section. Got to talk to Mark and I think Don was snoozin' by the RV :) I missed the parade lap :( Next year I'll be there for the WHOLE She-bang though!!!!

I did get to look at the Silver Slug. Very nice and clean!

Nick,

Bummers!!!! Sorry that I missed out on meeting you this year!!!! Next year for sure, okay????? :D

Mark. "Spacing/Speed/Line".....

No passing others during the lap, no passing the pace car (until he pulls off after turn 11), you can hug the inside corners (where the red/white blocks are), just no off-roading excursions like some PacNW peeps that I know (you'll have to look in the PacNW archives about the Rob Fenner/Lawnmowing stories from previous years). Speed... Just be aware of how fast everyone is going in front of you & then, get familiar w/ the track. One thing that I need to do one of these days, is hand out a map of the road course to all of the newbies, so that they know where all of the turns are located. Also on the long straightaway backstretch.... Look at the "big ass" picture that Will posted, you will see the "end of the straightaway" markers on the fence (400, 300, 200, 100), that lets you know that a turn is coming up & it's time to start braking... At the same time however, don't overdo it on going fast down the backstretch, 1 year, the track marshalls were clocking EVERYBODY in all of the clubs & several peeps got "dinged".... Heh, after all, it's "supposed" to be a parade lap..

I personally was taking it easy going through the turns & not going all out, like I would in the MKII Redpra... The inherent understeer problem that the MKI has, made me take the turns a bit more cautiously, because I didn't want to do any off-road infield excursions, because the car keeps wanting to go straight ahead. And of course, the 5ME Automagic only accelerates so fast.. :? (I need to feed the hamsters some more caffiene bars next time...)

Hope this answers your questions. :D
