Love music, all kinds. But really not too much comes out that I would consider a keeper, especially not this year. A song that has great lyrics and music. A song that you will still listen to years from now. Until now.

Re-Offender by Travis

A real keeper. Best song of the year. What a great chorus and the music is brilliant.

For the year, only two songs really caught my attention: "Unwell" by Matchbox 20 and "Say You Will" by Fleetwood Mac.

<----- Feelin seriously "old school"
Me too. Most of what I listen to is '70s and '80s. Every once in awhile a new song comes along that I like. Or I'll like a newer song by an older artist/band.

Outkast/Andre3000-Hey Ya--Fun song and, even though Outkast is in Hip-Hop category, they play this song on all the Rock and Alternative stations, which I thought was kinda wierd. :p

Worst songs of the year:

--Ying-Yang Twins feat. Lil John-Get Low--I will kill myself if I hear this song again.

--Ying-Yang Twins feat. Lil John-Shak it Like a Salt Shaka--I will kill myself if I hear this song again.

Man, I agree. Worst music ever. However, I do like "Barbie Girl" and the "Hello Kitty song". They make me happy.

hell yeah... those are two of my absolute favorite songs right now. heh... i enjoy a bit of country too *runs away* :D

my choices for song of the year:

"The Voice Within" - Christina Aguilera *puts on heavy-duty flamesuit* :wtf1:
"Pierced" - Audio Adrenaline
"There Goes My Life" - Kenny Chesney
"Remember When" - Alan Jackson
"Here Without You" - Three Doors Down
"So Far Away" - Staind
"Feeling This" - blink-182 (uhh, maybe not)

i'm really digging blink-182's latest album, though -- they've really shed their 'joke-band' image.

Maybe Im just a music snob, maybe Im still waiting fot G&N to release Chinese Democracy or Van Halen to get back together but I wasnt really impressed with much of anything that came out this year.

But Good Charlotte definitly put out the worst song of the year  , and when I say worst I mean they need to be punished severely (now Im getting a vision of a 16y.o. OC kid wearing a Good Charlotte shirt and nauticle star sweat bands... yeah punks sill alive... haha)

What no Brittany Spears???

I'm in love with my car - Mike Ness
Know it all - Iggy Pop
Steve McQeen - Cheryl Crow

Loud enough to hear it over your exhaust.
I forgot all about that new Iggy pop song, it's been in my head alot lately...before that song I hated sum41.

You Know Your Right by Nirvana was released this year wasn't it? Although I don't know if that counts seeing as how it was recorded almost a decade ago. Screw Courtney Love.

The new RHCP cd is some of their best stuff ever in my opinion...zepher song and by the way were both great songs, I can't remember the other tracks released from it but from my memory they were good.

oh yeah Jonny Cash's version of Hurt was very good too.

I guess 2003 wasn't as bad as it seems at first glance, although there's been better years for music
