Guys working on a front brake conversion for the MK2 that will be more affordable. Almost there. Will fit 15" and bigger wheels. There may be some limitations though.

Here is a sneak peek at it. The cardboard is temporary and is there for a reason, I'll explain later.

I should have everything worked out by the new year. Just waiting for parts, holidays to start and exams to finish.

Once completed I will post the conversion on the web so anyone can do it themselves.

Found some info back on 23 about the pt cruiser method, not sure if anyone actually went through with it. Looks like you need a z31 turbo hub and then whatever caliper spacers to line it all up. I know lots of guys are ok with the mpv rotors on the outside method, including revvhappy lemons racing with em so if he can't break em or have issues i don't see why not go for the mpv setup, much faster to swap out too.

z32 calipers are better for pad selection and are 4 piston so you may need a new master to make up for that(NA has more clearance, but only the 90's are aluminum the rest are iron, all turbos are aluminum), q45's has more wheel clearance if the z32's don't fit for you but less pad selection and are 2 piston so should be fine with stock master.

master cylinder info:

90 NA z32 calipers are for 26mm rotors, all other z32 are 30mm. q45 is 28mm

Ah i didn't catch your 15" requirement, i've seen it mentioned that if you run the mpv rotors with the 2 piston q45 calipers it will fit the 15" L type wheels. Have you thought about running the cressida hub/rotors and a custom mounted caliper? The rotors are 20mm larger and the stock setup fits under 14's(and will fit with no mods once you get the cressida hub on), but the calipers have the same size piston as ours and won't have much pad selection. I bet you could squeeze some bigger calipers onto the cressida rotor/hub setup and have a great increase that fits inside your 15" wheels.

Raj, if you'd prefer I can post this as a new thread. There is definitely some duplicate info in there and enough new stuff to warrant a new thread.

Put this together on my phone. I will fix up the links and formating issues on my laptop when I can.
Damn you did that on your phone? That is very impressive. Great info for anyone considering a new custom option.
http://www.car-part.com/ has a few listed, no prices though so you'd have to call and ask.
