Hey all, I’m getting around to replacing my hub knuckle/absorber part and I need to get the brake line out of the little line holder attached to the absorber but I can’t get it out. One side of the line has a “hex head I can get a wrench around but the other part of the line doesn’t at all. Wondering if it would just be easier to cut the line and pull it out and just replace the line? I added some photos for reference.

Thank you! -Jackson

Exactly! To remove clip, use a small flat tip screwdriver between clip and fitting, put hand over it because it may go flying if you don't!

Notice the bracket has little "slots" in it? The fitting will slide through if you rotate it slightly to fit through those slots.

Haven't work on that since I've replaced them with braided lines, but pretty sure both sides have hex flat for disassembly.

Yes, they both have 'slim' hex nuts. You should replace the upper one regardless, since it is cracking. Mine was (probably the original..) and when I cut it, I saw the whole interior was swelling. Just a tiny hole left! Both hoses are readily available from at least JP carparts.

Edit: VERY clean wheelhouse, and almost no visible rust at all, just some yellowing! That's a keeper!
