Two points Ive tried to make countless times here:
1. Carfax pays people to troll forums looking for posts such as these. If this VIN gets run in the next few days, there is a good chance the member who checked it will have to explain why they didso to avoid losing their account. So... never post the VIN in such a request. Do it through PM/email only.
2. Use the carfax info with a grain of salt. I can tell you of numerous instances where cars were significantly damaged and no reports were filed, and the car looks pristine on paper. Sure it helps fill in the gaps, but dont expect it to be all-knowing and all-telling.
