Do you have any photos of this car or a similar Celica from when it was being raced 'back in the day' as they say?

The car is already finished, and I try to meet the guy as soon as my supra is ready to take some pictures with him.

This company from finland has also restored two of the group B celicas:

What they do is more than restoring! I can not imagine that these cars have ever been so beautiful! Its the best work i have EVER seen!

The first one is:1984 Toyota Celica Turbo #TC18 Group B ex Juha Kankkunen 1985 HongKong-Beijing Rally

I think they still own it.

The second is: 1984 Toyota Celica Turbo #TC35 Group B ex Björn Waldegard, Toyota Team Europe 1985 HongKong-Beijing Rally.
1986-1988 Mohammed Bin Sulayem, Toyota Team Middle East Championship winning car.

The second one has been restored for its former owner Mohammed Bin Sulayem.

One of them has been at the goodwood festival 2007:

It is also posted in this thread too. And it was not an all-trac, it is only RWD.

P.S.And you can also use the edit button instead of making a new post

I will also be keeping an eye on this build since it is alreadly looking awesome and it is not even done yet.

Hmm, I will have to look into that then when I get home since I am also interested if there is an All-Trac rebuild like this.

The restoration is already finished, but he releases only a few pictures every week!

I did not want to post all at once because it is too much.

Here the next few:

Wow!!! I would have never thought I'd see new photos one of these old Toyota race cars. I would have imagined them in some scrap yard crushed never to be seen again. This is really awesome.

Thanks for showing our project.
One week ago the car was back on track again. We joined a histric rallye event with some famous cars. It was just a crazy action. The car was ready one day before the event and we did not any tests. Just drove the car from the trailer directly to the rallye stage!
It is a fantastic feeling to drive (ok, just co-driving) the car. Real powerful and we survived the rallye just witout any defects! Great!!!

My heart aches every time I see this thread. I would kill to see this thing in person. Such an AMAZING quality of craftsmanship and restoration. And you didn't pamper it either, restoration and USE. I appreciate SO MUCH that you actually Rallied it and were able to experience the car just as good, if not better than it was back in its' prime! Thank you so much for such an inspirational post.

To say a few words to our colleagues from Finland. The engine for his project was build by our team ;)
So he used just some pictures we already used for our project... ;) (we allowed to do it)
