Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of taking care of all the rust in the back half of my '82 supra which includes grinding, cutting and welding in new metal which I know a lot of you guys on here have a lot of experience doing. One thing I've heard a lot about is how the Celicas and the Supras are essentially the same from the firewall back. Does anyone know if this applies to the body panels as well? Specifically I'm looking at getting a replacement rear floor pan (where the spare tire is) and the two extensions on the side. If I can get one from a celica that would save me a lot of problems trying to repair the floor pan I have now.

I'm also planning on taking care of the rear quarter panel and was wondering if anyone knew whether this area was the same between the Celicas and Supras.

Thanks.

As far as tribal knowledge goes everything from the a-pilars/firewall back are the same between the celica and celicasupra, I would assume that includes the rear quarters and spare tire area.

Hopefully some of the body guys can chime in as I personally haven't ever done any major body work on either.

The brake light/license plate panel is different between the two, otherwise seemingly all rear metal is the same.
