I'm sure some of you already know,..but for those of you that don't, I'd like to give a :bigok: and a big congrads for having his name published in last months Sport Compact Car Magazine. For those of you that don't know, he was mentioned on page 37 in the section where the DVD of Texas2K3 Supra meet was mentioned. They mention one of the highlights being Chris Parvins stock exterior mid 80's Supra turning in a 416rwhp dyno run and hearing nothing but the scream of his turbo the whoole time!..:D His 7M car is a blast to ride in everytime I've been to see him, and he deserves major props for this accomplishment! Way to go Chris!!

Cool, his car caught fire the other day when the motor finally let go. Luckily he had a fire ext in the car so it was not a major loss. I know his car had been in inevitable failure mode for several months.

Glad he is getting some positive news. He is a good guy. I took a ride in that beast. Last time I hung on that tight was in a '70 GTX with a worked over 440 six-pack. Scary fast.

Ya,.. it's had a cylinder going bad for a while, but it just kept on chuggin. He has the same turbo as I have put up for my swap, and I rode in it the last time somewhere around 2 months ago with the wastegate shimmed to 10 pounds, and it was a neck breaker even on 5 cylinders! BUT, I've talke dot him on the phone, and he is in the rebuild mode, and when he gets to think about stuff like that, you know you better look out! I know hes planning on building a bottom end that will be capable of many future mods to come. Excellent guy to know, and a great friend to have in all respects! He'll be back before ya know it! ;)

thanks for the heads-up Scotty and the kind words. I find it rather amazing that out of all of the supras that showed up in Houston for the TX2K3 event and all of the stuff that was covered on the DVD that the guy who wrote the review chose my car to say a few words about. Guess it was unique and unusual, perhaps that is why he liked it. I mean geez, its another mkIV making 600whp - everybody yawns and says big deal, they expect it. The old mkII they do not expect and I think that is what makes it cool.
As of now I'm in rebuild mode and you know what that means  If I can find drive-train solutions, most importantly the rear end, the world will see a 500whp daily driven street mkII in the near future. Currently, my wiring harness is a mess - I think I'll just buy a new one. But I have very little free time, so I' not sure when the old mkII will be able to strike fear into the hearts of domestics again :(

I have a few tricks up my sleeve too and I think I may have enough for two..hehehe We're going to make the SouthEast ROCK!. :D
