Motor swap has NOTHING to do w/ a incorrect speedo reading!!!!!

Either the rear diff ratio has been changed, or the speedo cable gear has been changed. Do a search on this subject.

Nope...mine does the same thing (the Blupra...it was doing it well before the 7M swap). We had a discussion about this last year on the old Yahoo list...TomD said it was due to the spring resistance in the speedo decreasing over time. When I'm doing 75, the speedo reads about 90. I think he's probably right.

My speedo's been off since July 24 1984 ... it has always read 5 mph higher than actual speed (on measured miles). It is still off by this same amount today when I drove it up Highway 17 for a ways alongside a car with better calibrated speed. Everything's still stock, so I don't know the cause, and I just deal with it.
