Could have had a vette kill but he got scared

Well I was out at the street races about 2 weekends ago and just rice hunting like normal when I go to the street races. Smoked a vtec civic (oh what a surprise) and a type R (again, oh what a surprise). then I was heading back over the bridge where everyone races and sitting at a redlight before the bridge i roll up next to a C4 corvette (probably a 95 or 96). guy and his girlfriend in the car, girlfriend had her feet on the windshield when they had the top off. well I am with my friend dan who is the ultimate shit talker twards everyone who I want to race (race manager LOL). this is how his conversation wtih the chic and guy in the car went

dan: put your feet down we're gonna race you over the bridge
chic: laugh
dan : seriously! put your feet down we're gonna race you over the bridge
chic: laugh, we'll smoke you
dan : do you think we'd be cocky about his if we didn't know we were gonna win.
guy: I dont race (discouraged voice)

then they pulled off at the next right hand turn they could which happened to be a gas station and we saw them drive by after we got off the bridge and parked for a little while.

it's a funny as hell story but too bad it's not a real kill story it would have been a nice one. and i would have rode out on that vette.

the bay bridge? i cant remember the proper name, but the one between tampa and st petes/clearwater?

drove across that a couple times when i was down in st petes.... damn nice drive at sunset!

i want to go back so bad... such a nice place, and the cars.... and the women!

your probably thinking of the bayside bridge....sunset is very visible from there. this is the gandy bridge it parallels the howard franklin just a few miles away. it does go from st. pete to tampa.

ah, the gandy... i drove over that one at 2am, the tranny in my rental car kept trying to self destruct at any speed over 40 mph :?

got a different rental car the next morning

ya but it'd be a nice kill. 300hp of america's finest! would have been rode out on by toyotas finest 18 years ago!
