it was the werst sounding thing ive ever herd the #5 rod is slapping around in the block along with the free piston just bounsing. i only drove tha car off the traler off the streat and into my yard to strip it down for the 7m.

I have the same problem on my 7MGTE block but the thing is when it was still in the car is was still fine and didn't even leak when I had it cleaned and Magnafluxed at the machine shop they have found this 8inch long crack (the same spot he has the crack) I was still figuring out why the hell it didn't even leak nothing on the block at all when it was still in the car and was still running fine... To my investigation last... the part of the block was full if dirt and grime.

do blocks have sn#'s?
