Hello everyone,

I have a question concerning the 5m timing gear.

If the 7m crank fits in the 5m engine does the 7M crank timing gear fit on the 5m crankshaft.

Here are the Toyota part numbers.
5mg # 13521-43020
7mg # 13521-42020

If they are the same Parts why are they labeled as different part numbers.

The 5mg timing gear is obsolete so therefore I'm wondering if the 7M timing gear will fit on my 5m crank??

It sounds like you're building a Ffankenmotor. Go to the FAQ and read Tanya's wrieup on the 6MGE. The 7M crank will have a longer stroke, and with the right pistons, lots of HP

If you want to change all the gears from a gilmer tooth to a semicircle, then you need to find such gears from 5m or 6m. 5m were both with a gilmer and with a semicircle. At 5m I put a semicircle, because it became difficult to find the belts.
