Ok......When I got my 85, about 1 1/2 years ago the cruise Control worked. I rarely use it anyway, but It no longer works. I'm sure I could figure it out if I start to dig but are there any obvious things I should check?

Make sure your brake fluid and clutch fluid all full, sometimes just checking the floats will restore CC.

Years ago I was having trouble with my CC. I took all the connectors a part in the engine bay and sprayed them real good with contact cleaner. I use some white grease inside them and connected them all back together. Never had a problem with the CC since. Than was over 10 years ago.

Good question... I also don't know if the CC system looks for a sensor in the Clutch Master Cylinder. I know it does if the Brake Master Cylinder is low on fluid. Even if it's only half full, the CC won't work.

xrsupra85: Get a new lever assembly from a junkyard. Either a MA Supra or RA Celica ebrake lever will work. If you don't have access to one, put a ad in the Wanted forums.

both my clutch and brake fluids have sensors in them so the cc must have access to those signals

I would also like to know where the sensor is in the clutch MC. All I've seen, is the cap, and the little saucer like thing that floats on top of the fluid.

The brake master cylinder sensor "I believe" is that whitish looking probe that is attached to the lid & goes into the reservoir. That's why there is a wire attached to the outside of the lid.

my bad, my clutch cylinder lid must have been replaced, has a wire with a "float" but wire doesn't hook to anything, just tucked in behind it. Maybe thats why the top always is damp with fluid.
The master cylinder does have float with wire going into harness.
