i installed a kenwood cd using a harness, but it only works when i put the headlamp switch in the fog light or on position. what's wrong?
also for the fog light mod, what position on the light switch makes them come on without popping up the headlamps?

It sounds like your power for the stereo is coming from the power lead that powers your stereo lights/display, not an ignition switch operated power supply. You should have 3 kinds of power available. Igniton swith, battery(constant on) and lights. Aside from the power antenna juice.

As for the fog lights, they come on with the parking lights after the mod. Read about it from the CS.com home page, or use the search feature. HTH

As far as what? The stereo power or the foglight mod? Actually the same answers still apply. If your stereo comes on ONLY when lights are on, same answer.

If you connect the Green with red dots to the back of the radio... Don't! You have connected the radio to the lights...
