Ummm...two things:

1) This has been covered by someone else (Seamus from Canada) http://www.celicasupra.com/phpBB2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=61 - Try searching the forum for this using the search function at the top of the screen. I know of at least ONE thread in the past where the hoods from Carbonfibre FX have been discussed.

2) This really doesn't belong in Restoration Talk if it's a Group Buy.

Yeah, they have the carbon MK2 hood on their site for $799.99 CDN. About $612 US. I'd like to get one of these maybe next spring/summer.
Not a huge priority right now

I just saw Duane last night. Hes been working very hard to deal with some business issues to complete the last group buy I organised for him. Once thats done I will likely start another, if the issues are sorted out to my satisfaction.

BTW most people are interested in the scooped hood I got him to make. We had an oem mold and the only hood that was ever pulled from it (not including the plug for the scooped hood) is on my 85, everyone else sprung for the scooped hood.

Picture, picture, picture...where are all the pictures. Has everyone received their hood yet that took part in the original group buy??

suprafriend, how much longer until the last group buy is completed? are they all the scooped hood? personally i really like the look of the oem hood, and to get one in carbon fibre would be great, so if anyone is in please let us know.

7 have received theirs. Someone posted pics here already. No carbons delivered yet. There are more issues at play here then I'm willing to go into in public, but I WILL see this buy to the end and all who have ordered will get their hoods. I will also do everything in my power to prevent any other mk2 hood group buys with CFX from happening untill this one is fully resolved. If you want to order a single hood through CFX go for it, Duane's prices are good. There is no mold for the oem hood right now, just the scooped. That is all I have to say about this issue, thanks.

At any rate if there is a way to have OE style hoods made again LMK cause thats what I want (in carbon).

i have no idea what shipping to europe would cost, probably in the 300-600 dollar range for sure, but if you are interested zoe let us know and that gives us 5 now

nice one, that is 6 people, now we play the waiting game. i am told we should be able to get them before spring, but i cannot garuntee anything at this time. the price is $760 candaian so around 600 US dollars.

I would suggest waiting until the group buy from last year is completed. Hopefully Duane can get things organized to better handle his construction timing.
