Hrmmm...

He's on his own this year @ the Nationals... No co-driver.

Am hoping he'll eventually be in the top 5???

DSP is supposedly a much tougher class this year according to Don. I think the IS300 probably have him aced in handling and power. I think Don need some NAWWWWWWWSSSSS :) . I'm kinda surprised there is a '96 Vette in DSP.

Well folks, Nats was lots of fun (at least on tues/weds). Even though I ultimately ended up 18th out of 38 drivers, the competition this year was awesome. Not sure how I match up with those modern 3 liter motors like the BMW 330i, or IS300, they accelerate sooo well. The older BMW 3 series are really tough because they are pretty light, and the motors are pretty strong too. My suspension was a bit too stiff for the surface of Forbes Field in Kansas. On fairly smooth asphalt or concrete the car feels more secure, but on the cracking, patched up concrete at Forbes it felt very unconnected to the surface. I'm planning to soften the spring rates (something I should have done when I got stiffer sway bars) and get some custom valved struts/shocks. Mostly though, it's driver ability. I need to work on my skills. It rained hard today, glad we finished running our DSP class yesterday. Just sat and watched other classes in my truck, with the radio on listening to the announcer. The Supra would have been awful in the pouring rain today. Many had special rain tires, but it's quite and expense and not available in all tire sizes. Looking forward to next year !

Don
(leaving for Calif in the morning, with lots of mods in mind)
