yeah, the fuse box might be a good place. virtually any thick blue/red wire (at least in my '85) is a switched unit... they go all over the place! one easily accesible place is the fuel injector resistor pack, just make sure the crimp is good
well, the way we did the alarm, i found 12 volt switched in the interior fuse panel, then if you reach up through the dash and footwell area, you can reach inside the inner fender (really need a probe or rod for it tho) and, if your looking for it, theres a hole inside the fender well in the engine bay, just between the strut tower and clutch master cylinder.
