:x is it just me or is the EGR Valve a pain in the ass to remove. whats the best way to take it out, and putting it back in. BTW this is on an 84 mk2

simple.....replace it with that of a 6m or just get the whole 6m to match the egr less intake plenum

Its not that hard to change. Remove the 2 bolts for the valve, loosen the EGR tube nut, remove the vacuum modulator, and loosen the 2 bolts on that connect the EGR tube to the cooler. Don't completely remove these 2 bolts or you will hate yourself forever. Just use a really long extension to get at them.

Ok after trying every possible way for like three hours :x I couldnt put the dam buger in. I tried another approach and PRESTO I managed to put it in, in less then two mins. :p What I did was I took those two double sided screws out of the intake plenum and replaced them with two long enough bolts. Problem solved,

SilverMk2-- I know better than to take those two bolts out from the EGR tube, thanks for looking out :wink:
