ok so with scca coming up soon, i started a regime or replacement parts and for safety, style, and handling characteristics. its not gonna be anything too fancy after all this is just weekend autocross. so i made a list of everything that i know of, and just ignored for lack of money/necessity for the last year or so that ive owned it. so i figure why not air out my dirty laundry....most of these things should be easy enough to take care of but i know there will be some that just arent gonna go quietly.

- football size dent in front RH quarter panel (q.p.)
- rust and smallish dent in front of front LH q.p.
- driver side turn signal cover busted
- driver side fog light out
- headlights dim
- overall paint condition (lots of heavy fading)
- front bumper needs to be replaced, evidence of impact
- the trim thats halfway up the door is missing from the drivers door back
- the trim under the door is just gave up on life
- passenger door requires lots of effort to pull the door open, handle works easy enough
- gas tank door broken and cant be latched closed
- antenna mast broken at the base
- rear window louvers vertical link loose, i vertical link section is missing
-supra decal in rear chipped and peeling
- missing a bolt in the license plate
- rear wiper blade deteriorating
- wheels have heavy brake dust buildup
- TO DO: get rid of those damn locking lug nuts!
- battery needs to be tied down
- work light under hood disconnected
- spark plug wires look sloppy
- the little cap to the strut support missing on drivers side
- the hood latch assy. dented, secondary release dosent work
- the aftermarket horn (probably a autozone special) sometimes sounds weak sometimes its ok
- the intake pipe is full of cracks and needs to be replaced
- replace all dry rotted vacuum and water lines
- water leak at the thermostat housing
- everything under the hood is a greasy mess
- autozone special air filter needs to be replaced
- power steering pump is leaking into my alternator
- door skins in rough shape
- carpet is torn and stained
- driver side seat belt gets wet after heavy rain
- driver seat frame broken, needs a quick weld
- lumbar air hose disconnects itself
- driver side visor clip broken
- leather seats suffering multiple lacerations
- pedal covers worn
- cruise control all jacked up
- dashboard is cracking
- center console leather ripped and faded
- shifter boot ripped and faded
- shifter sloppy
- stains in ashtray
- both door glasses are loose
- window switch panel and map light panel loose
- front speakers are buzzing a bit
- need new rear speakers
- air conditioning system removed almost entirely
- multifunction switch fault, no high beams
- needs upgraded amp to push my 2 12" subs
- RH cover in hatch space missing
- a slight squeek in the clutch pedal
- ignition switch hard to turn at times
- rheostat causing blown fuses
- that damn clicking behind the dash

and lastly...
- that damn whining differential!!!!

wow. i think i have the most beater car on the forum.:eekfacepalm:

Your seat belt getting wet, and carpet stains are probably related. Check out my thread "Leaking quarter windows" to find out how I fixed mine.

As for the rest - wow. It's nice to make a list though, because as you fix things and check them off, you really feel like you've accomplished something. It helps fuel the drive to get more done. I have lists for all of my vehicles.

Tell ya what. We both live in Nashville. I have found a car at a wrecker tow lot. It was Pulled off the interstate. I was looking to buy it and strip it for parts. I live in Condo no disassembly here but do you have a place for disassembly?

yea i live in mt juliet with a roommate. i dont think she would mind but id have to talk to her about it. email me at [email protected] id be interested in going in on it for sure!
