hello everyone, I have an unresolved problem for the past 3 years with my toyota celica supra mk2. my car's problem is my car's mainfold exhaust turns red like a ripe iron. at that time my engine was perfectly idle. after a few minutes the exhaust mainfold become red. does anyone know this problem?

Check:

1. Ignition timing - how many degrees @ idle?

2. Cam-timing - spot on factory specs. Factory cams?

3. When was last tune-up. New distributor rotor, cap, wires & plugs?

Cat could be plugged up, car could be running really lean, etc.

Check intake piping and vacuum lines. Unmetered air getting sucked in will create lean conditions and light up your exhaust manifold.

My car has been sent to several workshops that specialize in timing, but there are still problems. about the distributor rotor, wire and plug already replace,

so far my intake piping n vacuum hose not have any air leak... last time i found my t.p.s was not in good condition but i already replace with the new one. there have any possible cause?
