I am just wondering what this fan is? It doesnt turn on (it is electric) when the A/C is turned on, or anything.
Does that mean it is broken? Or not need to turn cos it is not hot enuff?

Fan should kick on when the A/C is working. Check to see if it is getting power. Aftermarket fans are a good upgrade for the A/C, it will allow it to actually cool the car at idle in 90+ weather.

It should also kick in when the car starts to overheat as well.

I don't think mine ever kicked on when it over heated either....

I had a wire tap leading into the dash from the a/c fan on my old car so I could turn it on with a switch. A cool $1 mod I thoght.

Fair enuff

Well, I will watch it more closely, but it might be broken too.

I also have really bad heating, it doesnt get really hot air or anything coming through, what could this be?

Re: Fair enuff

after 18 or so years I'm sure the A/C condenser fan is shot (mine was anyway)

for your heating problem, could be several causes, check all your vacume lines and heater hoses. you're heater core could also be plugged from rust/corrosion/etc... also, check the electrical connections on the "thing" (for the life of me I can't remember the name of the thing) that's in-line on one of the heater hoses.

here's a URL to start checking stuff with.
