I did this write up on how to repair Flare Studs... with Stainless steel... so they will never rust out/break off again...

Understood... but U should do this to the replacement Flare that U are putting on... & ANY time U have a Flare off (ie: Painting or whatever ) It's possibly due to me being in Canada with Snow in the Winter....put I've pretty much NEVER had all the nuts come off cleaning... even though I soak them for a cpl days in a Good quality (NOT WD40 !! ) Penetrating Oil.

At least ONE stud always breaks off... & if U follow how I've done things (with Stainless Steel bolts & nuts) ... in another 35 years...the Flares will STILL come off easily....

Great write up!I'll certainly use this info when I find a flare,but I've been searching for a month and still nothing, there's only 1 on eBay and it's in ratchet condition and over priced, so fingers crossed soon I can find one hopefully 🙏.

I've got a bunch of Flares in good condition... However .. even tho they only weigh like 5 lbs... (the Industrial Cardboard I put around the Flare to Protect it... actually weighs MORE than the actual Flare ) ... the Shipping fr Canada is Retarded (excuse me for not being Politically correct )

Basically the Shipping companies go by Cubic Area ... that it takes up... & this includes the Area that the actual Road wheel takes up.. (in other words... the middle of the "C" that the Flare makes...)

So keep me in mind as a Plan B... if U don't find anything in decent Condition... that's closer to U ... so the shipping is cheaper...
