Whats up everyone? I'm a little confused and could really use some advice. I found a good deal on a Fidanza aluminum flywheel for the 5M/7M. I'm planning a 7MGTE conversion in the near future, but I'm uncertain about the compatibility. If I retain the W58 tranny, use a 5M/7M clutch mated with the 7MGTE pressure plate, the Fidanza should still fit, right? I read through several previous posts on this topic, but couldn't find a definitive answer. Any help is appreciated.

I have the Fidanza flywheel with an ACT 6 puck clutch in my car. I installed these together with the 7M so I can't offer a before and after opinion. The most noticeable thing so far is how fast the RPM drop between shifts. You can counter this by just blipping the throttle a bit like when you downshift. I think there's probably also some acceleration advantage since the engine can spin a bit easier. I think the aluminum flywheel weighs about a third or half as much as the stock part.
