Been reading up on this too, as I get ready for a BBK on my car. Dave gave me the heads up on the 4runner MC application too, and I noticed in searching that there are ABS and non-abs models of 4runners. Some models are 2wd, others are 4wd. FWIW, I think I am going with the 4wd, ABS, application for the 4runners. I believe this gives me the 1 & 1/16" diameter cylinder, and correct orientation on the brake lines. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

I use the later MK3 non-abs master cylinder in my car. I believe its a 15/16" bore. Make sure to keep using the stock Mk2 booster though.

Silver,

Could you explain why you recommend keeping the MKII OEM booster? TIA,

Ok, awesome! Will stay with stock Mk2 brake booster. I remember reading somewhere that the Mk3 booster might be too strong? Prob can work too, but I'll stay stock booster for now. Enough variables changing. Thanks!

You can go Cressida front brakes if you remove some of the outside caliper material. Not much of an upgrade.

For a bigger improvement an MPV disc and early Q45 might just fit. It will under the 15" Ltye wheels. If I'm not mistaken I tried a Z32 caliper once under a stock 14" wheel and the issue was the width of the caliper. The outside face rubbing on the spokes.

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had success using the level sensor in the reservoir for the 4runner MC via the plug on the side. I wired mine up using a small plug and play adapter harness but now my brake light is always on.

Do the 95 4runner and MKII MC's operate the same? There are only two wires so i assume having the wires reversed wouldn't make a difference in an off off switch senario.

Let me know.

Thanks.

from the looks of it im sure, but these dont increase the track like the other braking mods (with rotor hats) do they? if im looking at wheels which are only just flush on stock hubs, they will stay in the same position with the JK BBK?
