Fuel pump install

Never put in a fuel pump but I just got a mk4 unit. I saw the tank on my friends mk3 and boy did it look like shit. What else might I need to get to do the install? A bunch of hose and clamps-- what diamter if anyone knows off hand.

Is stuff just going to rust to pieces when I touch it? Or do I just need that bag filter thingy or what. Can I get that bag filter thingy from Toyota without getting a pump?

depending on the amt of rust already on the top of the tank you may need to purchase the tank and all its components.

While you're working on the fuel system , you should probably also replace the fuel filter, which is mounted on the engine block.
