ok, went in a week and a half ago, no problems at all. they checked my vin, the recall was still active. they ordered the part for me, it came in last thursday, i went in this morning, they swapped out the oil pressure sending unit. went all smooth.
they were a bit shocked when i pulled in, but never gave me a hard time at all.
I'd suggest all you guys check your vin by calling toyota corporation.

So is this whole list recalls? Or only some? And if so, how do I find out which are which?

(sorry about digging up an old tread)

See the below list of TSB Technical service bulletins that I sorted & put together from the alldata listings.
+ some associated websites.
Does anyone have access/subscription to the TSB's themselves?
It would be of great value to source the actual TSB's.

Does anyone have access/subscription to the TSB's themselves?
It would be of great value to source the actual TSB's.
I have access to TIS. When I searched for TSB's with it it only shows 25 documents but my search criteria was specific to 1985 Supra. TIS doesn't have much information for older vehicles, it doesn't even have a repair manual for the Supra until 1990.

The only document it had from your list is BO010-02. The year and title of the document is different on TIS but I don't think that should matter. It is in .pdf format, if you want I could send it to you.

Don't know why this site won't work. It worked before IIRC. I submitted an inquiry to them.
https://auth2.toyota.com/owners/SSCInfo-index.html
How did you contact them? Is there an e-mail address? I would like to get these 2 sites to work:
http://www.toyota.com/owners/apps/service-publications.do
http://www.toyota.com/owners/apps/owners-manuals.do

You can see the service-publications.do site by going to:
http://web.archive.org/web/20110426194057/http://www.toyota.com/owners/apps/service-publications.do
But the owners-manuals.do isn't archived.

I found this site:
http://www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/resources/recalls

But the VIN# for my Supra didn't work. My 1995 and newer vehicles VIN# worked though. I'm guessing VIN# older than 1990 will not work.

Below is the interaction I had with Toyota Customer Experience. Essentially they looked up my VIN#'s. Every new year they drop off one old year from C. 15 years ago. This is why the old VIN's are rejected.
Notably the SSC#410 Oil Pressure Sender Gauge issue is still open and apparently doable.

I am looking for recalls and TSBs for my vehicles. And the whole very active Toyota and Supra ownership base is looking as well.

A few megabytes of memory costs so many decimal points less than the cost of even one lost vehicle sale. This makes it a no brainer judgement for an astute customer relations department. I don't believe
information drops off your parts department database in the same way.

This is clearly a legal liability and responsibility issue as well as a likely NHTSA issue. It is also
a nonsensical and contra-indicated customer relations "tactic" to discard product safety, customer useful information before the end of the product's useful life.

Please remind management that you are making quality long lasting vehicles which attracts buyers who are paying for that durability. To not properly support your
product's durability says that you don't wish to fulfill the vendor/customer commitment.

There are some 200+ TSBs for my Supras (of which a certain number are safety issues). Some
were issued 27 years after model year. It makes no sense to hide/drop their information from the consumer after 15 years.

I wish to know what they are.

Dear Argoodlv Argoodlv,

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Our
system goes far back as 1995 and as we come upon a new year the oldest year falls off our system and will then have very limited information on the older vehicles. Is there anything specific you are seeking?

We look forward to your response.

The VIN is an 85 Supra. I have seen references by others in our Supra groups that earlier VIN's don't show up. It seems strange that I can find a breakdown
reading analysis of the VIN on other web sites but "Official" Toyota itself doesn't read it as a valid #.
Please keep this incident open and request that your website update its database to at least be equivalent to the Toyota Parts dept capability.

A TSB is a communication between Toyota and its dealerships that can serve as an update to Toyota publications, describe parts updates, or relay enhanced or new service procedures. Service procedures may explain diagnostic steps, implementation of recommended updates, or how to perform certain repairs. A TSB is not a recall or a Special Service Campaign. If the cost of a TSB service or repair is eligible for warranty coverage, it will be specified in the TSB, and requires that the vehicle is within the original warranty parameters and exhibiting the concerns referenced in the TSB. A TSB does not extend the warranty.

Toyota makes all available TSBs accessible to the public by subscribing to our Technical Information System.

Title: Technical Information System (TIS)

You can also purchase TSBs through the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) which is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

mine reads at about 20 psi at idle and about 40 normal driving. do yall think that 20 at idle could be a faulty sender gauge? i mean obviously. i know alot about cars but what im asking is, is this what happened to any of yalls before replacing the sender gauge? and would it happen to cause a leak right by the alternator? (not sure where the leak would take place, im new to supras)
