I just received a pair of H4 lights. For sime reason there is an extra bulp with two leads coming from the light housing. What are they for and where do they get wired too? Any insight would be appreciated.

I think the Euro folks have City Lights for use in well lit urban settings.

The 2nd lights are for bling-bling . Most I've seen with this they are a strobe lights or something like that. Its for car shows and you leave them on for maximum rice. All the H4s on the parts stores rice shelf have them, and no I'm not buying ricer parts! A guy has to get his cheap laughs some how :lol:

Seems kinda usless on a MKII I only turn on my lights when I can't see with my fog lights LOL....

In Europe, with the dense urban traffic, you don't need the illumination. It also causes less glare for other drivers.

The H4's I put in my car have them as well. They basically serve the same purpose as the front parking lights next to the fog lights. I don't use them but if you wanted to you could hook them up with your parking lights so they would work. Of course you would have to have your lights in the up position to see them so why not just use your headlights. Better yet do the foglight rewire so you can use them without the headlights being up.
