For all those that are looking to replace their non-working power antenna be advised that Harada has quit the after market replacement business so only MQX(B)2 you'll find are those in dealer stock.

I had bought that particular Harada # and found that the supplied ferrules doesn't have the correct angle and the stock ferrule is too small to use with the replacement antenna. From what I've read, the Hirschmann unit has similar problems with ferrule angle and fitment. What about this Metra unit?

I've had problems with replacement antennas for Toyotas for years! Seems that if its a universal antenna, it doesn't have enough angle to make the antenna vertical, or the sleeves didn't fit quite right.
I've found that if you use some of the antenna parts from your stock Toyota antenna with the new antenna, you can get it pretty stock looking and quite solid for mounting.

Well I've ordered the Metra 44PW530 per Dan's note (thanks) from the on-line site for Shuck's / Kragen so I'll post my findings on fit, etc. when I get it. The spec's say angle will cover 0 to 25 degree so here's hoping...
BTW my local Shuck's said they didn't carry this particular antenna but I had no problem ordering myself. BTW cost me $37.99

Jeremy,
I found the package when I got home last night. Will be putting it in after work today. The new antenna comes with 6 different sets of hard parts to get correct angle so we'll see.
I'll post at least by monday to let you all know how it comes out.

My antenna has been broken for a while, too. Wanted a power replacement, but I can't sell my arms and legs at the dealership for a stock one. I"m also very curious to see if this antenna fits and works!

Sorry for the delay in replying to all but my 18 year old has taken possesion of my supra and has decided that getting his speakers, amp and subs installed and working is more important than finishing the antenna install. Who needs a radio when yo've got a CD player, right? Anyway, this is where I left off. The replacement's motor is a lot larger than what came out (stock??) so there is a problem with clearance and getting the mast/unit to come up and out straight. Also the 5 or so mast locators/nut holder (the piece on the body hole) leave a lot to be desired as far as correct angle (use your old pieces if you can!). I also found rust under the plastic/rubber piece (doh) so this also slowed me down. I'm out of town for the week so will have to wait until next week to get with the boy and finish the job. Hopefully I will have something positive to report then.
