Okay, I have a small problem. I took my distributor out to replace something, but I forgot to note the position it was in before I took it off. :) How do I find out where it is supposed to be, or do I have to just start it and find out where it runs at? Also, if I do that, do I risk breaking anything? Any help is much appreciated!

Just put your engine at TDC (align marks on cam gears with rear cover). Note the position of the #1 lead on the dist. cap and mark it on the distributor body. Put the distributor in so that the rotor is pointing at the #1. It will actually point a little bit before #1 so that you have the proper adjustment for advancement (it's very little).
